Scott Municipal Utility

Scott Municipal Utility established on January 1, 2017 to create a single town wide Utility District and Public Utility for the municipality, which focuses on:

Water

Residents receive their water from two main sources: private wells or through two interconnections with the Green Bay water supply system. SMU is responsible for operations of the distribution system beyond those interconnection points.

Sewer

Wastewater from the Town of Scott is processed by the Green Bay Metropolitan Sewerage District, widely known as NEW Water. NEW Water provides advanced regional wastewater treatment services.

Storm Water

The Town of Scott is an active member of the Northeast Wisconsin Stormwater Consortium (NEWSC). This organization promotes cost-effective stormwater management practices that meet or exceed Wisconsin DNR and EPA regulatory requirements, helping protect local waterways and reduce runoff pollution. SMU employees two operators that work to solve current drainage problems, prevent future problems, monitor water levels and assist with utility maintenance. SMU is governed by a 5- member commission.

Utility Billing

The Town of Scott generates water and sewer utility bills on a quarterly basis.

You may sign-up to receive your utility bill electronically through e-mail, by e-mailing [email protected].
